Congratulations to author and journalist Peter Bartram who’s first book Headline Murder debuts this Friday, August 28th
2015. In this debut novel “A Crampton of the Chronicle mystery” you’ll be transported back to the 1960s in Brighton, UK, where a newspaper journalist called Colin Crampton stumbles upon a missing person case that takes him on a wild journey as he tries to unravel the mystery for the sake of headlines.

I had the treat of attending the Headline Murder book launch in Hove last Thursday, August 20th, 2015, and meeting the author. Guests to the Caribou Room got to hear a reading from Actor Peter F Gardiner, who we were told also performs in the hit show in London The Railway Children.
Watch an excerpt of the reading here on my YouTube channel.
In talking with Peter at the book launch, he told me that he dreamed up the character and theme of Headline Murder when he realized that he had not discovered any crime mysteries that had journalists as the central protagonists.
I’ve rated this book 5 our of 5 stars because I love when a story pulls me along and keeps me interested – and Headline Murder successfully achieves this page-turning status.
