Mid-week peek at two Works In Progress (WIPs) of my @fallentreevineyard experience. Usually I am just too busy to post during the week - because I am working, parenting & making art when I can. I thought I would pop in and give you a look! #art #wip #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #crozet

It was a beautiful morning hosting my botanical #sharpieart botanical drawing workshop at @botanicalgardenofthepiedmont for the Botanical Art Festival - a month long fundraising effort for the garden including the art exhibition at @mcguffeyartcenter and events and workshops. #art #contempoaryart #contemporaryartist #artist

I am working on a new pansy painting in my mini garage art studio. It’s one of four in a series I am creating this season. Once the cold weather hits I can’t paint in my no-heat garage so there is some haste going on to finish these paintings. #art #artist #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #crozetartist

Please enjoy a peek at the view you find at @fallentreevineyard. Can you see why @gelsaartist and I were so inspired on 9/5 to start working on paintings of this winery? Stay tuned to find out more about our artistic collaboration!

For my happy Friday art share: I am so pleased to announce that I am collaborating with my artist colleague and friend @gelsaartist who lives in Chase City of Virginia. We both visited and got inspired by @fallentreevineyard on 9/5. Now we are each working on developing paintings of this winery in our own style to be revealed later this Fall. This drawing is my preliminary effort toward creating my painting. Stay tuned to see what we make! #art #artist #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #crozet

Yesterday I hosted my botanical Sharpie art workshop for the @charlottesvilleresilience a nonprofit led by Terry Tyree - to celebrate the graduation of participants in this first Resilient Family Empowerment Program (RFEP) offered by this organization. The six-week resilience training program supports families facing housing insecurities and other traumas. The next program will be in 2027 so if you know a family to refer please let Terry know. I can also connect you with her. And look at the beautiful flower cards everyone drew! #art #community #resilience #cville #artworkshop

I’m working on a submission for an upcoming art show that will be held here in Virginia’s Crozet (near Charlottesville) this painting I submitted I call Natalia’s Pilea Plant. It’s medium is oil and it’s based on my observations of this thriving plant I kept in my home that grew incredibly large and healthy! My friend and artist colleague Natalia (@nataliatizan) used to grow and sell these beautiful plants. I bought a small one and was amazed at how huge it got! I just had to paint this botanical beauty. These plants are also known as Chinese Money Plants. #art #comtemporaryart #contemporaryartist #pilea

Well last night was so so much fun! I was so happy to be joined by friends - and even my teen kid! - who came out to support me for my *two* art show openings here in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Charlottesville of Virginia. First up we all saw the fantastic Teeny Tiny Trifecta 9 at @secondstreetgallery featuring 609 works by 203 artists - including me. Each small painting costs $125 each and part of proceeds benefit this nonprofit gallery. Mine are still available for purchase. Find the remaining works online or visit the gallery until 9/25 to add these mini masterpieces to your collection. Thanks to friends @gelsaartist & Frank who presented me with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers at the debut show! Then with some friends we headed to the @mcguffeyartcenter to view the Botanical Art Festival where I have one of my large resistance black pansy paintings exhibiting. This show benefits the @botanicalgardenofthepiedmont and my painting is priced at $200. How great that all this beautiful art benefits two terrific nonprofits? Both shows run through September. So excited for my debut exhibits in America. I previously did show my work in London in the United Kingdom where I lived for 16 years. I hope you are all enjoying my art adventures! I aim to paint one more resistance black pansy painting this year in my garage mini studio space before the weather turns cold. Then I want to keep developing my landscape paintings. Thanks for looking! #art #artist #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #cville

I bought some art tonight! I am the proud owner and art collector of this small work by @leemclart who is exhibiting as well in the Teeny Tiny Trifecta 9 at @secondstreetgallery this month. Come to the gallery tomorrow evening (9/4) to see and buy affordable art - all priced at $125. #cville #art #contemporaryart #artexhibition #artforsale
