Drawing my black pansy holiday cards this year has been a blast! I experimented - I went abstract - I got a touch political. Yes: The black pansy reflects what I feel is a dark dystopian mood going on that has descended across America and the world since the 2024 American elections. What’s next? It’s got a forboding edgy feeling going on with the threats coming from this new political administration taking over in power come 2025. I notice that the word #artist rhymes with the word #resist. So here’s to more #resistanceart efforts in these next four years. As #art is the only way I know how to express myself as we all deal with what’s to come. #contemporaryart #contemporaryartist #contemporarydrawing #politicalart
